Grammar of present simple

Don’t= do not
 Doesn’t = does not.





v  We use the present simple to talk about habits and routines.
We don’t eat a lot of snacks.
Do you watch TV every day?

v  We use the present simple to talk about things that are generally true.
Fruit and vegetables contain a lot of vitamins.

Spelling third person singular (aff¡rmative)

v  We form the third person singular by adding adding s to the base form.
Play __plays
Like __likes

v  If the verb ends in a consonants + -y,we change the –y to –i and add es.
Study __studies

v  If the verb ends in -ch, -sh, -ss, -o or -x, we add –es.
Watch __ watches.
Relax __ relaxes.
Wash __ washes.
Go __ goes.
